Stocking your freezer with meals has never been easier. If you can carve out an hour to prep these recipes, you can get six meals in the freezer simply and easily. All meals are designed to cook in the slow cooker, and some also have pressure-cooking instructions. Prep on a weekend and use the meals for a week’s worth of dinners, or space them out and use them on extra-busy days when you have no time to cook. They’re also handy for sharing with a friend. A few months ago, I put six meals in my freezer, and I was later able to share a couple of them with a friend whose baby was born on the same day that her family moved into a new house!

To simplify your prep day, chop all the veggies first. Group each recipe’s vegetables together. Place the meat in gallon-size zip-top plastic freezer bags and then add the other ingredients. The exception to this would be for King’s Chicken Noodle Soup and Creamy Italian-Style Chicken and Kale Soup—I like using a large bowl for soups so I don’t risk a spill in the freezer. If you have a small family of two to four people, you can split the ingredients for any of the recipes between two freezer bags and get two meals instead of one.

I’ve given you two different plans here. Each one has six recipes and can be finished in about one hour. Sixty minutes to prep six meals is a great use of your time.
